The 2012 NMRA Ongoing Manufacturer's Awards at the national model contest in Grand Rapids.

2012 is the first year our awards are co-sponsored with PRICOM Design. The awards include an NMRA plaque, a cirtificate, and a complete R-T-R Scale Magic™ Scene system including a Pricom Design Dream Player, JBL amplified speakers, and Scale Magic™ soundtracks in any scene our winners wish.

Fanatsonics™ Engineering "Most Deserving of Sound" Award

This unique model inspired us to create a dedicated soundtrack for Larry... there is so much going on it was also a challenge. The scene required a bunch of scratch built sounds, and it came out so well, we have decided to release a version of it (under the title of 'Jacob's Fuel Co.' of course:)!

In2010 we had TWO winners, TWO awards (and TWO prizes!)
In cooperation with the NMRA we established our second annual award, our Most Deserving Youth Award.

None of our existing scenes were appropriate, so Christie & I were tickled and delighted to make a custom soundtrack for Amanda's terrific model. Everything is there, the band, the people, and of course all the park's "inhabitants". The concert included a number of pieces of music spanning traditional to contemporary, and hymns to marches. We even added a fireworks display as the band played the Star Spangled banner finale.

Amanda says:

Dear Jim and Christie Wells,
Thank you so much for giving me the youth sound award it was an honor to get it. The sound was really great! Some of my favorite parts were the band tuning, the geese honking, and the fireworks booming. I told my dad that we have to make fireworks somehow. I might even be able to bring my gazebo and sound system to school to show the other kids. I am so excited to put the speakers in my dad's layout. Thank you so much for all of your time and effort.
