A View Back at "Emma's Vestibule"

In this view taken from the passenger's suspension bridge leading to the tunnel entrance of the Blood Sweat &Tears mine, we see the bridge work across the top of the falls, in the foreground. The water will fall all the way to the floor next to you (and pass beneath the bridge you are standing on!). The greater Squaw Bottom area occupies the space behind that (across the vestibule), and that's Genesis peaking out from the upper tier in the distance. The GFL engine facilities are just visible below Genesis, and through the coach window. This section of the layout is 'next'... The shot above is likely as close to an 'overall pike perspective shot' as you will find anywhere in the GFL! Approximately 20% of the 'Serpent's Tongue Route' track work is visible here.

A glimpse of Styx

This is actually a 'look back' at one of the two exits to the Blood Sweat & Tears Mine tunnel complex...

. Hot Air Balloon Shot, taken just off the Barbary Coast.... . . . . . . .

What is remarkable about this shot is the fact that, with the exception of a couple of trees, no scenery work has been done yet!
